Greetings, my name is Ryan Dycus. I am an economist.

I am completing the final year of my Ph.D. in Economics at Cornell University. My anticipated graduation date is August 2026.

My research lies in the field of health behavior, with a focus on understanding the drivers of nicotine and tobacco consumption. My job market paper investigates the reluctance of older smokers to adopt e-cigarettes as reduced-harm alternatives to traditional cigarettes.

My main methodological competencies include the design, distribution, and analysis of surveys and survey-based experiments. I also have experience with quasi-experimental analysis of administrative and sales data, as well as decision-theoretic economic modeling. I look forward to applying these skills at your firm!
